Community Outreach

The first month in my new position as Community Outreach Coordinator for Breck Create has been an incredible experience, and has created an opportunity for me to connect with my local community and put in place changes for a more diverse and welcoming environment. I am thrilled to be working on this alongside my painting practice.
As mentioned last month, I have started working on a large piece in my La Doña series, and am glad I did! The oil paint has forced me to pace myself, which is just what I need right now. She is a vibrant, colorful painting, and I am looking forward to sharing the finished product and continuing the series.

Also, check out the adorably small La Doña pieces in my SHOP! 50% of those sales will be going to BLM for the foreseeable future. The full description and meaning of this series is in the item description, so head over to see what it's all about!
September marks the last month I will be teaching my Plein Air class on a regular basis. October will be full of festivities celebrating Dia de los Muertos, which I am planning and participating (stay tuned) and before you know it, fall will be here and the time for outside activities will change. Check the Breck Create class schedule HERE to see what is being offered for the rest of the month.
