August was a doozy! I started and completed my biggest mural to date.... nearly 3,000 square feet of wall to cover and we did it in just two weeks!
Was I scared to approach a huge project just two months into having a baby? Yes. Am I so glad I did it anyways? Yes! I am one lucky person to have such amazing people around to help me face scary things and support me in a way where I was able to get this done. Help on the wall, help with the baby, help with my own confidence.... I'm so grateful.
The design was primarily the clients creation of guitars and picks floating across the wall with picture frames covering the whole space and just a handful of frames having images. I was given the creative license of what to draw inside the frames with the theme of classic Austin places and things. I really embraced the creative aspect of this and love the places I chose, each dear to me and the city.
I wish this was a public space for y'all to see in person, but you'll have to settle for pics on my website instead.
This was a great way for me to dive back into work both physically and creatively and I'm feeling so happy about finishing such a big project!
