We're back from Alaska y'all and even have had time to pop down to our family ranch in Southern Utah and Lake Tahoe last month. It's been a crazy but pleasantly full summer so far and I feel lucky to have such beautiful places at our fingertips.

Alaska was surprisingly relaxing. Given we are traveling these days with a one-year-old, adventures are different, but we are still having them and seeing incredible and new places. We spent a lot of time with the people we love most up there and got to see what it is that makes Alaska the special place they call home. We popped down to the ocean for a few days, saw a charming forest festival, fished, hiked, and took a tram to see some snow. It was a wonderful trip, and there will be many more to come.

The ranch was extra special, taking Cy, Jake and Huck for their first times with my brother and his family. It is a place I grew up spending most summers, so of course I have endless memories.

Huck swam for three days straight, Jake fished AGAIN, and we got to take the kids up in the side-by-sides to a spot where there is a 360 view of the Southern Utah Valley, including Bryce Canyon. The sun sets on Bryce each night making it light up in a way I will never forget.

We were exhausted but turned around and went to Lake Tahoe the next weekend anyways which was exactly as relaxing as I hoped and stunning. If you are anywhere near the Mountain West I highly recommend making a stop. I love almost nothing more than a big mountain lake!

I also had just enough time this month to squeeze in a mural for Park City Frame & Gallery on one of their interior doors. The other side of the door is still a a work in progress, but when it's finished it will be worth a trip (if Park City isn't enough) to go see the new Gallery space and mural door.

You can see my finished side on my murals page here!
